Home to the world’s oldest active ship The Star of India this group of ships located at the harbor downtown is a true gem of San Diego.  Volunteers and skilled craftsman aboard the Star of India give you a perfect feel of what life was like aboard this amazing vessel during its inception.  This beautiful restored vessel is exciting for all ages and is a real learning experience for the family.  Also located at this harbor museum is the Berkeley steam ferry from 1898 the 1904 steam yacht Medea the 1914 Pilot the Californian which is the state s official tall ship and the H.M.S. Surprise.  This is a must see museum if you are in the downtown San Diego waterfront area, you will not be disappointed.
